MEDITZ, WILLIAM F.

William Fredrick Meditz, 79, of Gardner, died Wednesday [Dec. 28, 2005] at Morris Hospital.

Mr. Meditz retired from the Corps of Engineers in Joliet. He was born Aug. 10, 1926, in Auburn, the son of Frank and Mary Gestel Meditz. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He enjoyed catching big fish, winning in cards and watching the Yankees play baseball.

Deceased are five brothers, Carl, Fred, Frank, August and Henry Meditz; and two sisters, Margaret Gorman and Emma Koenig.
