RIDLEY, GEORGE M.
G. M. (Sonny) Ridley, aged 49, resident of Kansas City, Kan., and former resident of De Queen and Lockesburg, suffered a fatal heart attack Saturday, Sept. 14 [1974] in Kansas City. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18, at Wilkerson chapel with Rev. J. Lawrence Thorup of Kansas City officiating. Burial was in Redmen Cemetery. Born Aug. 17, 1925 in Lockesburg, he was a member of the Baptist church, veteran of World War II, member of VFW and an employee of Board Public Utilities.
Surviviors include his wife, Mrs. Norma Jean Rodgers Ridley; one daughter, Mrs. Arta Osbern; one son, Rodger Ridley, all of Kansas City; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. M. Ridley, Lockesburg; two sisters, Mrs. Fayne Gunnels, Emerson and Mrs. Tince Alton, Marion. Pallbearers were Bobby Crawford, Bill Walker, Dallas McLeod, Minor Millwee, J. D. Bartlett and Durl Taylor.
