ALBERT, JOSEPH E.

ALLIANCE-Joseph Edward Albert, 84, of Alliance passed away on Monday, Jan. 4, 2010, at Roselawn Terrace in Alliance surrounded by his loved ones.

Joseph was born in New Brighton, Pa., on Aug. 3, 1925, the son of the late Nicholas and Rose (Ondras) Albert.

Mr. Albert was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, serving during WWII. He worked at Morgan Engineering and the Mullins Company. Joseph enjoyed sports; he especially loved the Indians and the Browns.

Survivors include a daughter, Kathy Young of Alliance; a son Kelly (Corena) Albert of Alliance; a daughter, Paula Albert of California; a son, Edward Albert of California; three grandchildren, Kaylee, Kelsey, and Kyle.

He is also survived by two sisters, Mary Shasteen and Rose (Fred) Johnson; and a brother, Cyril Albert, all of Salem.

Besides his parents, Joseph was preceded in death by a brother, Steve Albert; two sisters, Ann Albert, Mildred Hagen; and a son-in-law, Daniel Young.

A funeral service will be held on Friday at 2 p.m. at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Sams officiating.

Friends may call at the funeral home the hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery in Salem.
