WASHINGTON, Sept. 17—(AP)—The Navy Department announced today its casualty list No. 12, which included the names of 18 North Carolinians—seven dead, 10 wounded and one missing.

The list covers the period August 31-September 6 inclusive.

The dead and next of kin:

Pfc. Arthur D. Hampton, USMC [August 7, 1942], mother, Mrs. D. S. Hampton, Rockwell.
