SHARP, CHARLES F., JR.

Charles Foster Sharp ended his journey on this earth on Friday, June 5th, 2015. He was married to Ethel Louise, who passed in 2000, after 55 wonderful years. Charles is survived by his companion, Mary Sachs; his brother, Robert Cressy Sharp; and five children: Charles Foster Sharp III, Deborah Cuney Sharp, Cynthia Blaire Peters, Robert Cressy Sharp, and Samantha Ella Jenkins. Charles also has 12 grandchildren, 15 great- grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Charles was born in Beverly, MA on October 7, 1924. He achieved many respectable accomplishments in his life being a veteran to World War II, a veteran to the Korean War, serving 22 years in the Marine Corps, and 26 years in the civil service. Charles Foster was a pillar to our community and lived his life to assist others. He was Past Master of the Vista Lodge #687 (twice), Worthy Patron of Eastern Star, Secretary of Sojourns, member of the Purple Heart Society, member of the Shriners, and recipient of the Hiram Award, the single highest honor a California Mason may receive. Charles was a loving, caring father and grandfather that will be tremendously missed. We will keep a special place in our hearts for him, always. Hopefully, we can carry on his giving tradition in our own lives. Memorial services will be held on Sunday, June 14th, 2015 at 2pm at the Masonic Lodge #687, 761 Eucalyptus Avenue, Vista, CA.
