Charles Robert Orrender of LaVernia died Thursday, Dec. 3 [1992], at the age of 69.

Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Monday, Dec. 7, at Finch Funeral Chapel in LaVernia with the Rev. Bo Kelly officiating. A graveside service will be held at 10:45 a.m. Monday at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio.

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 6, at Finch Funeral Chapel.

Survivors include four sons, Robert Maverick Orrender of California, Charles Ballard Orrender of Houston, Charles Samuel Orrender of LaVernia, Richard Wesley Orrender and wife Nancy of LaVernia; two stepsons, Jimmy Dieckow and wife Jimmie of LaVernia, Dennis Snow and wife Tracy of LaVernia; two daughters, Terrell Fontaine Maverick of Austin, Lynn Shelton Denzer and husband Walter of San Antonio; one stepdaughter, Charmagne Snow of LaVernia; two sisters, Frances Shelton Hall and husband James of Charlotte, N.C., Katherine Rebecca Sousa and husband Rudolph of Raleigh, N.C.; and eight grandchildren.
