CHAPMAN, DUFF G.

JACKSON – Funeral services for local radio personality Duff G. Chapman, 64, who died Monday [April 21, 1986] at his Jackson home, will be held at 3 p.m. today in Daneri Chapel.

A native of Stockton, Mr. Chapman graduated from Stockton schools. Upon graduation from Stanford University in 1948, he managed the Chapman General Tire Co. in Lodi.

He settled in Jackson in the early 1960s where he was employed many years as an investment securities advisor for Howells A. M. and Co., Inc. Until recently, he gave daily stock market reports on radio station KNGT.

Mr. Chapman was past vice president of Amador County Chamber of Commerce, a past foreman of the county grand jury, a member of E. Clampus Vitus, past-Noble Grand Humbug of Tuleberg and Jane Marshall Chapters, past-Sublime Noble Grand Humbug of The Grand Council, and a member of Westerners Historical Society.

He was also a writer and a member of the board of directors for Californian Magazine and a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his parents, Dr. and Mrs. H. S. Chapman, of Stockton; a sister, Barbara Arismendi, of Stockton; daughter Cecelia C., of San Francisco, and sons Brian of San Francisco, Duncan and Peter of New York, and James of Rohnert Park.

Memorial contributions may be made to Dameron Hospital Foundation.

Inurnment will be in Parkview Cemetery in Stockton.
