ROZGA, WALTER J.

GRAFTON—The body of Walter J. Rozga, who was killed in action at Tulagi, in the Solomon Islands August 7, 1942, arrived at the Russell D. Fulton Funeral Home this morning. Military services with Rev. Fr. P. J. Ferron, pastor of Immaculate Conception Church in Grafton assisting will be conducted by the Elyria American Legion Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Grafton.

Cpl. Rozga, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Rozga of 772 Ontario Street, Grafton, is a graduate of Grafton High School, was employed by the Colson Corporation and a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Grafton before entering service with the Marine Corps September 30, 1940. He went overseas in April, 1941, and was 23 years of age when he lost his life. He was awarded the Silver Star and Purple Heart.

Surviving besides his parents are eight brothers and sisters: Mrs. Frances Leonard, of Columbia Station; Mrs. Fred Ladd, of Belden; Mrs. Warren Haffner, of Cleveland; Chester, of Grafton; and Joseph, John, James and Donald, all at home.
