REARDON, EDWARD L.
Edward L. Reardon, 76, of 1649 Riggall Road, Marietta, died Monday [March 31, 1997] at the Veterans Administration Medical Center after a long illness.
Mr. Reardon was a native of Brooklyn and lived in Marietta for 23 years.
He was a bus driver for the New York City Transit Authority for 26 years before retiring in 1972.
Mr. Reardon was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II and served in Company C of Edson’s Raiders commando group in the Pacific. He was also a member of the Marine Corps League.
Surviving are his wife, the former Edythe Vanderbilt; two daughters, Caroleen Campione and Margaret Bulgar, both of Marietta, Ga.; two stepsons, Rance Bradshaw of Marietta, N.Y., and Scott Kelley of Wellsburg, W.Va.; a stepdaughter, Bonnie Moses of Steubenville, Ohio; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services are 10 a.m. Thursday in St. John’s Episcopal Church, Marcellus, the Rev. Ralph D. Locke officiating. Burial is in Onondaga County Veterans Cemetery, Onondaga Hill.
Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Norris Funeral Home, 33 North St., Marcellus.
