MUSCATINE, Iowa — William W. Webb, 81, Muscatine, died Friday, Oct. 18, 2002, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City.
There will be no funeral service. Burial will be at a later date.
Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the William Webb Memorial Fund.
Mr. Webb was born on Feb. 27, 1921, in Oakville, the son of Claude and Pearl Griggs Webb. He married Pauline B. Reichert on Oct. 6, 1950, in Muscatine.
He was a member of Moose Lodge No. 388. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Marines in the South Pacific Theater.
He was an electrical engineer for Grain Processing Corporation for 32 years, retiring in 1982.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Bob J. Webb and his wife, Suzi, of West Liberty; three daughters, Bonnie D. Duncan of New Mexico, Donna Ritz and her husband, Jim, of Boise, Idaho and Bonnie Jo McKnight and her husband,Rick, of Sand Springs, Okla.; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Audria Cheely of Oregon.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Wayne Harris Webb; two sisters; and four brothers.
