NELSON, HARLOW E.

Our loving father, Harlow (Rusty) Nelson has gone on to meet his beloved wife, Irene on Sept. 2, 1995. He was born in Waverly, KS on Oct. 11, 1924 and passed away at his home in Spanaway at the age of 70. He is leaving many friends and family including his sons, Roger and George; daughters-in-law, Michele and Jean; grandchildren, Joy, Kristoffer and Zachary; great-grandson, Michael, all of whom will hold his memory and love close in their hearts. He was a loyal, hardworking, dedicated man, a loving, generous, caring father and he was a person we all respected and looked up to. He valiantly served in the military for 17 years including WWII and the Korean War. He was wounded in action and he earned several medals. Rusty was an avid golfer, spending much of his life on or near a golf course. There will be a memorial service on Sat., Sept. 9 at 1 p.m. at Fir Lane Memorial Chapel located in Spanaway at 924 East. 176th St. Donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association in Harlow’s name.
