MYERS, LEO

Mr. and Mrs. Warren Myers, 1423 South Union Street, are in receipt of a telegram from the War Department advising them that their son, Pfc. Leo Myers died in action on Okinawa on May 19 [1945]. He was with the veteran Sixth Marine Division and had been overseas for 18 months. No information concerning the circumstances surrounding the action in which Private [First Class] Myers was killed has been received.
