MCNEELY, BILLIE R.

Funeral rites will be held Sunday at 4 p.m. in the Fred Cook Mortuary Chapel at Nitro for Marine Cpl. Billie Ray McNeely, 20, who was killed June 20, 1945 on Okinawa. Rev. Lloyd Myers will officiate and burial will be in Cunningham Memorial Park at St. Albans with American Legion Post 108 in charge.

Cpl. McNeely was the son of Mrs. Elizabeth McNeely of Hulbert Heights, Nitro. He was residing in St. Albans when he enlisted in the Marines. He served with the Sixth Marine Division which won the Presidential Citation.

Besides his mother he leaves a son, Billie Ray, Jr., his widow, Mrs. Juanita Cavender of Riverview; three brothers, Robert McNeely of Nitro, Roy of Richmond, Calif., and Naman of Wyandotte, Mich., and three sisters, Mrs. Judy Casino, Miss Roxie and Miss Lillian McNeely, all of Los Angeles.
