LUST, LOUIS L.
Louis Lawrence Lust, 46, 2610 Deaton Street, died at 10:40 p.m., Monday [June 25, 1962], in a Lake Charles hospital.
He died of a heart attack.
Funeral services will be held at the University Methodist Church, at 4 p.m., Wednesday, with Rev. James L. Stovall, pastor officiating. Burial will be in the Prien Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Burke-Hammer Funeral Home.
Mr. Lust was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, Chapter 17. He served as past state commander, past chapter commander, and was again serving this year as Chapter commander. He was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion, having held offices in both.
He was a member of the Marine Raider Association, having served with Carlson’s Raiders, 2nd
Raider Battalion, in the Solomon Islands. He was wounded on Bougainville.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Louis L. Lust, Lake Charles; one son, Jerry Lust, Petty officer, 1st
Class, U.S. Navy, Jacksonville, Fla.; his mother, Mrs. Olivia Crumpler, Maplewood; one brother, Howard Lust, Maplewood; and one sister, Mrs. W. M. Terral, Shreveport.
