KOEHLER, RALPH I.

FORT ATKINSON—Ralph I. Koehler, 56, of 334 Grove, died Tuesday afternoon [May 27, 1980] in Fort Atkinson Memorial Hospital after suffering an apparent heart attack.

Bron March 8, 1924, in Ellinwood, Kan., he married Harriet Tousignant on Oct. 20, 1949, in Gwinn, Mich. They made their home in Hartman, Colo., until moving to Fort Atkinson in 1956. He owned and operated Koehler’s Hall there until retirement in 1974.

A World War II Marine veteran, Koehler was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Paul Frank Florine American Legion Post No. 166 and Lake Mills Moose Lodge.

Surviving are his wife; six sons, Tech. Sgt. Daniel Koehler, serving with the U.S. Air Force in Bentwaters, England, Joseph, Jerome, Andrew and James, all of Fort Atkinson, and William of Portland, Ore.; four daughters, Mrs. Mary Fedoruk of Denver, Colo., Mrs. Scott Plue of Sandpoint, Idaho, Mrs. Jack Knight of Luana, Iowa, and Theresa Koehler of Fort Atkinson; eight grandchildren; five brothers, Raymond of Fort Collins, Colo., Bernard of Pocatello, Idaho, Robert in Texas, Wilfred of Grayslake, Ill., and Walter of Emporia, Kan.; and two sisters, Mrs. Wilfred Thill of Ellinwood, Kan., and Mrs. Robert Rice of Wheatland, Wyo.

Services will be at 10 a.m. in the Dunlap Memorial Home and at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call after 5 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, where the parish rosary will be recited at 8 p.m.
