KLEIN, HAROLD G.
Marine M/Sgt. Harold G. Klein, 42, a Southtown resident all of his life, died in Oahu, Hawaii, Monday [November 26, 1956] following a heart attack.
The Marine, one of the Carlson Raiders of World War II fame, had been in the Marines 18 years and was to retire in two years.
Military services will be held in Hawaii today and his remains will be flown to Chicago for burial. Memorial services will be held in Hope Lutheran Church, W. 64th St. and S. Washtenaw Ave. A date and time have not been set.
His widow, Eva, and two children, Jeannie, 10, and H. G., 1, are expected to arrive in Chicago from Hawaii later this week. Also surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Klein, 11001 S. Menard Ave., Chicago Ridge; a sister, Mrs. Jack Baldwin, 6863 W. 115th St., Worth, and two brothers, Robert, of Bellwood, Ill., and Arthur, of Van Nuys, Cal.
