KING, MERION L.

Merion L. King of Commerce City, a retired manager, died Dec. 20 [1999]. He was 76.

Graveside services were Thursday at Highland Cemetery.

He was born March 26, 1923, in Pickrell, Neb. He served in the Marines during World War II. On Feb. 20, 1946, he married Helen M. Chapp in Beatrice, Neb.

He was awarded the Purple Heart and Presidential Citation for his military service.

He was a parts and service manager.

He was a member of the VFW.

He is survived by his wife; a son, Danny L., Commerce City; three daughters, Linda K. Stehle, Commerce City, Jane A. White, Westminster, and Margie D. Spainhower, Thornton; four brothers, Robert and Edward, both of Lincoln, Neb., William, Omaha, and Maurice, Livingston, Texas; 10 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
