HENDERSON, CHARLES J.

CANANDAIGUA– Charles J. Henderson, of Thomas Rd., passed away May 26, 2004 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.

He was a graduate of Canandaigua Academy. A Purple Heart recipient, having proudly served with the United States Marine Corps. Retired as a Lieutenant after 28 years with the New York State Police. Worked as an investigator with Racing and Wagering Board at Finger Lakes Race Track.

He is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Mary A. Henderson; sons, Scott (Diane) Henderson, Jeffrey (Julie) Henderson, Mark (Lori) Henderson, Kevin (Cindy) Henderson and Skip Henderson; eight grandchildren, Michael, Timothy, Caylee, Joshua, Kate, Rachael, Colby and Dalton.

Friends may call Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Fuller Funeral Home, 190 Buffalo St., Canandaigua. A Prayer service will be held Tuesday at 10:30 followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 AM at St. Mary’s Church in Canandaigua.

Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery with full Military Honors. Contributions may be made in his name to Former Troopers Helping Hands, Box 105 Lancaster, NY 14086.
