GUNDERSON, ALFRED L., JR.

Alfred L. Gunderson Jr., age 88, of Bloomington, passed away on February 24, 2012. Al was born on March 19, 1923 to Alfred and Lena Gunderson of South St. Paul. Al achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant in the Marine Corps and served during WWII and Korea. He was a member of the Scottish Rite and was an honorary thirty-third degree Mason. He worked as a mechanical engineer over 25 years at Hoerner Waldorf Corporation. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce, of 32 years. He is survived by his three daughters, Candace (Matthew) King of Olathe, KS; Leigh (Thom) Snyder of Wayzata and Kyle (Daniel) Riley of Elko; seven grandchildren and one great-grandson. Services are pending.
