GARRETT, WILLIAM P.
Entered into eternal rest on the evening of March 30, 2004, William Perry Garrett, husband of Juanita J. Garrett. Residence, Charleston, SC. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. William Perry Garrett are invited to attend the funeral services of the former Friday, April 2, 2004 at eleven o’clock in James Island Baptist Church. Interment, Live Oak Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., West Ashley Chapel, Thursday evening between six and eight o’clock. Mr. Garrett was born January 19, 1924 in Greenville, SC, the son of James Albert Garrett and Birdie Boggs Garrett. He retired as a Quality Assurance Engineer. He was an active member of James Island Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, Sunday School Teacher and a minister to the Veterans. Mr. Garrett attended Southern Flight School prior to entering the United States Marine Corps where he served as a pilot during World War II. He is survived by his wife of Charleston; one son: Brian D. Garrett and his wife Paula of Ocean Isle, NC; one daughter: Susan G. Warren and her husband James of Richmond, VA; one brother: Ernest C. Garrett of Greenville, SC; two sisters: Barbara G. Boggs of Fountain Inn, SC and Emma G. Henenger of Greenville, SC; four grandchildren: Drayton and Hannah Garrett and William and David Warren.
