FINFROCK, JOSEPH C.
MARTINSBURG, W.Va. – Joseph Charles Finfrock, 84, of Martinsburg, died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2007, at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville, Va.
Born Jan. 3, 1923, in Funkstown, he was the son of the late James Harry Finfrock and Mary Katherine Wiesner Finfrock.
He retired from Nabisco in 1982 after more than 30 years of service.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II.
He was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church.
He was a leader of the Boy Scouts of America, worked with the Eastern Panhandle Girl Scout Council, was a leader of the Berkeley County (W.Va.) Council of PTA, and was a member of Alsatia Club of Hagerstown and Equality Lodge 44 AF&AM, among other organizations.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Norma Celia Gardiner Finfrock; three children, Charlene M.F. Babovich of New Orleans, Martha S. Finfrock of Land O’ Lakes, Fla. and Gregory P. Finfrock of Wildwood, Mo.; four grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
