Sheridan, Wyo., June 18.—(AP)—Britton Jack Ellis of Edgerton was killed instantly and four passengers in his car shaken up when his machine left the highway and turned over eight miles south of Kaycee Thursday night [June 17, 1948].

Barbara Tyler, 15, and Yvonne Endersby, 13, both of Edgerton, and Virginia Hackworth, 16, and Oma Jean Creek, 14, both of Midwest, escaped with slight injuries.

According to Highway Patrolman Art Wilson of Buffalo, the car was traveling south toward Midwest and failed to make the curve on the approach to the bridge on the south fork of Powder River.
