DUHON, OSCAR P.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at Vincent Funeral Home – Kaplan honoring the life of Oscar “Pete” Duhon, 91, who died Monday, November 30, 2009 at his residence.

He was laid to rest at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery with Reverend David Broussard officiating the services.

He is survived by his wife, Yolande Mary Simon Duhon of Kaplan; two stepsons, Merlin J. Cormier of Carencro and Darsen W. Cormier of Kaplan; one stepdaughter, Lucinda Marie Cormier of Houston, Texas; two brothers, R.J. Duhon and Dudley Duhon, both of Lake Charles; three sisters, Irby Gaspard, Gussie Benoit and Helen Duhon, all of Lake Charles; seven step-grandchildren; and six step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lurline Duhon; one stepdaughter; two stepsons, Terry and Mark Cormier; four brothers; and three sisters.

All funeral arrangements are being conducted by Vincent Funeral Home of Kaplan.
