DALTON, WALTER F.

SHERIDAN, Wyo. – Walter Francis Dalton, 75, died May 29, 1998, at his home in Sheridan.

He was born Feb. 21, 1923, at Watkins, Okla., the son of Elmer M. and Ada Lee Scott Dalton. A former longtime resident of El Dorado, where he had been a foreman for Gulf Oil Co., he had attended Arkansas City Jr. College, Oklahoma State University, and graduated from Kansas State University.

He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II.

Survivors include: a son, John Dalton, Cheney; a daughter, Susan Violand, St. Louis; a brother, E. Vincent Dalton, Citrus Heights, Calif.; two sisters, Betty Keller, Broken Arrow, Okla., and Elizabeth Pinon, El Dorado; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, E. Curtis Dalton.

Funeral services are pending and will be announced at a later time by Cheney Funeral Home, Cheney.
