EMIRO, PASQUALE A.

Haverhill ” Pasquale Alexander Pat” Emiro, 89, of Haverhill died Thursday evening, January 3 [2013], at the West Roxbury Veteran”s Hospital.

He was born in Cambridge, January 23, 1923, son of the late Erasmo and Josephine (Salipante) Emiro. A graduate of Leominster High School, Mr. Emiro attended Boston University, and Worcester State. He earned his Bachelor”s Degree from Holy Cross College and his Master”s Degree from Fitchburg State. During World War II he served in the United States Marine Corps, 4th Marine Raider Battalion, and was wounded in battle in New Georgia, South Pacific. A Guidance Councilor at Haverhill High School for 43 years, Mr. Emiro was also the Night School Principal at Haverhill High School for ten years, and a Special Education Teacher at Methuen High School. He was a member of the Civilian Conservation Corps. He was a published author and member of the Haverhill Poets Society.
