EICHIN, DONALD E.
Donald Edwin Eichin, age 81, of Maumelle, passed away Thursday, May 1, 2003. He was born August 1, 1921 in Evansville, IN to Edwin and Jeannette (Lightner) Eichin. He was an avid golfer with the Timex team and was a softball player. Mr. Eichin attended the University of Ohio where he studied English and Math and the University of Arkansas at Little Rock where he studied Business. He was a retired Timex Executive with over 30 years of service. Donald was of the Presbyterian faith. He was a Marine Corps Raider with the rank of Sergeant in the 3rd Battalion during WWII in the South Pacific. He served from 1942 to 1944 and was awarded a Purple Heart.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Betty (Spencer) Eichin in 1991, and by a sister, Joan Lehman of Columbus, OH. Survivors include a son, J. D. Eichin and his wife, Laurie, of Little Rock; two daughters, Janie Theodore and her husband, Aaron, of North Little Rock and Jeannette Herrera and her husband, Tom, of Pecos, TX; six grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

A Memorial Graveside Service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 6, 2003 at Forest Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00 “4:00 p.m. Saturday, May 3rd at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth Custom Funerals & Cremations, 5800 West 12th Street, Little Rock.
