Washington, Oct. 18 (U.P.)—The Navy announced today 196 casualties in the Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard, including 91 dead, 139 wounded and 14 missing, bringing to 68,177 the total casualties since Pearl Harbor. The following seven Brooklyn, Queens and Long Island men are included: Corp. Daniel F. Alfano, Marine, dead [July 22, 1944]—Thomas Ronan, uncle, 25-13 31st Ave., Astoria. (Previously reported wounded on Dec. 28, 1943, list.)
